Suicide Prevention
safeTALK teaches suicide alertness to anyone 15 years old and above and gives practical ways to support friends and family to keep safe. Call Martha Golay from the YES Partnership 209-533-1397 ext 274 or email mgolay@atcaa.org for more information. Bob White, Cynthia Halman, and Sarah Collie are also local safeTALK trainers.
ASIST is a 2 day training for anyone 17 and older who desires to learn intervention skills to assist people with thoughts of suicide. Call Martha Golay from the YES Partnership 209-533-1397 ext 274 or email mgolay@atcaa.org for more information. Cynthia Halman is also a local ASIST trainer.
Mental Health First Aid is an 8 hours training which teaches a five step action plan to offer initial help to people and connect them to appropriate support. Call Martha Golay from the YES Partnership 209-533-1397 ext 274 or email mgolay@atcaa.org for more information.

** Tobacco Education Program: 209-533-7419: The program can offer health education presentations, workshops, and trainings on: tobacco use and products, nicotine addiction, tobacco cessation, electronic cigarettes, tobacco-related diseases, secondhand and thirdhand smoke, smoke-free area advocacy, and federal, state, and local tobacco control law.
